Kariss busily hurried down the street, letting his hand hit the green railings as he walked the sun had now become hidden behind a group of clouds that brought shade down upon the town they lived in.
He could already hear the loud, ecstatic chants of 'England' that echoed around the surrounding area and the follow up of quick claps.
Turning the corner his house wasn't far now, kids were playing football in the street, wearing red or white England shirts for their height and age they were still committing to amazing skills that would not even be expected of them and even the will to play in the heat brought a smile to Kariss' face. 'They're young they don't know any better...not bad though' Kicking open the gate to his house another thought surged through his mind and he sighed 'I should have got her number...'.
Kariss opened the door and sharply closed it again, opening the door to the living room he threw his bag on the dark green settee that lay underneath two double glazed windows and launched himself over to the phone frantically pressing the buttons.
He waited as the the tone of the phone dragged on, looking around the room he noticed his mum hadn't turned the computer off that lay nestled in the corner of the room, next to it was another smaller settee that held newspapers and magazines on it, overshadowing it to the left was a cozy looking lamp that when turned on would highlight the vinyls and CD's that his dad treasured ever since he was Kariss' age.
Finally the phone crackled to life and a lively "Hello" spoke out from the other end.
"Hey Chris hows it goin? Your still comin round for the game aren't you...cos' if so you better get your ass round now" Kariss hurriedly uttered the sentence obviously not willing to waste any more time.
A high gasp erupted and the faceless voice frantically chirped out "Oh yeah man, I forgot...I'll come now...bring some lucozade and whatever I'll be quick" Kariss rolled his eyes as he knew his idea of quick was 10 minutes late, realizing he did indeed want another drink and he was too lazy to get it himself, he gave in.
"Yeah sure, hurry up though" the phone cut off and Kariss smiled realizing for once in his life his friend might actually be quick.
He carelessly threw the phone back in it's place and took his shoes off, throwing them on to the rack in the hallway, with minimum space to charge he launched himself at the settee and quickly grabbed the remote, switching the t.v on.
